Tom Martin, craftsman and local vendor, began designing bourbon barrel furniture out of his garage used as a workshop with limited tools but unlimited talent. Being semi-retired, he used this time to create furniture items as priceless Christmas gifts to surprise his blended family of eight married children and thirteen grandchildren. T

Tom Martin, craftsman and local vendor, began designing bourbon barrel furniture out of his garage used as a workshop with limited tools but unlimited talent. Being semi-retired, he used this time to create furniture items as priceless Christmas gifts to surprise his blended family of eight married children and thirteen grandchildren. Tom continues to use minimal tools and workspace, but has grown in talent and design by crafting new furniture and items.

Each item is custom made and hand crafted from white oak barrels that have been charred and some weathered through the distillery process. Although the broken and discarded pieces are thought to be of no use, the craftsman hand picks and hand sands each piece so that the beauty of the wood is preserved and made into another beautiful creation.
